چکیده

The determination of uric acid in urine samples was studied by a chemiluminescence measurement using tris (2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II)-octylphenylpolyglycolether [Ru(bpy)3-OPE] system. The oxidized uric acid by Ce(IV) excited Ru(bpy)3 to emit a chemiluminescence in this system so that the intensity was stoichiometrically dependent upon the concentration of uric acid. In a reaction cell, a luminescent reagent, oxidant, surfactant and sulfuric acid were flowed into and mixed with a taken sample. Experimental conditions were optimized to obtain the maximum intensity of chemiluminescence. Each reactant solution of more than the following concentration gave a good result: 2 × 10−4 M Ru(bpy)3, 0.01 M Ce(IV), 6% OPE, and 0.33 M H2SO4. Any interferences were not shown in this process by the investigation of concomitant constitutes such as albumin, creatine, lactic acid, glucose, urea, Cl−, Mg, Ca and so on. The linearity of a calibration curve was good with r = 0.998, the relative standard deviation of the slope was 3.3% and the detection limit was 5.6 ng/mL. The recoveries of 80 to 91% were obtained from the standard spiked samples. The values were little bit low, but this procedure could be considered to be reliable for the determination of trace uric acid in urine samples.

Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) 79. Reductive-oxidation ECL of tris(2,2′-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) using hydrogen peroxide as a coreactant in pH 7.5 phosphate buffer solution

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can be used as a coreactant to generate reductive-oxidation ECL of Tris(2,2′-bipyridine)ruthenium(II), Ru(bpy)3 (bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine), in pH 7.5 phosphate buffer solution (PBS). Although Ru(bpy)3 is adsorbed and precipitated on the electrode upon reduction of Ru(bpy)3 in aqueous solutions, ECL can still be generated and scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) e r o...

Sensitive determination of domoic acid using high-performance liquid chromatography with electrogenerated tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(III) chemiluminescence detection.

A new sensitive determination method of domoic acid based on the chemiluminescent reaction of tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(III) has been developed. The method exhibited good reproducibility. The relative standard deviation of six replicate measurements was 1.6% for 10 ng ml(-1). A calibration graph, based on a standard domoic acid solution, was linear over the range of 1 - 500 ng ml(-1) (coef...

Chemiluminescence from the reaction of tin(II) with tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(III).

Unlike many other metal and metalloid ions, tin(II) elicits intense, analytically useful chemiluminescence upon reaction with tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(III) in acidic aqueous solution. This finding provides new insight into the nature of this widely used reagent and has enabled the first direct, selective determination of a metal ion with tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(III).

Electrogenerated chemiluminescence derivatization reagents for carboxylic acids and amines in high-performance liquid chromatography using tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II).

2-(2-Aminoethyl)-1-methylpyrrolidine and N-(3-aminopropyl)pyrrolidine (NAPP) were found to be selective and sensitive derivatization reagents for carboxylic acid by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with electrogenerated chemiluminescence detection using tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II). Free fatty acids and ibuprofen were used as model compounds of carboxylic acids, and the deriv...

Photoelectroanalytical chemistry: possible interferences in serum and the selective detection of tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) in the presence of interferents.

Photoelectroanalytical chemistry, the application of photoelectrochemistry to analysis, as reported here, is based on the amperometric detection of tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(III) after its production from the corresponding Ru(II) complex in an excited state and quenching by electron transfer. The Ru(II) complex is detectable in concentrations less than 10(-10) mol/L injected into a flow st...
